Forbes has come out with its list of America’s Fastest Recovering Cities. However, at least one company that deals with hiring statistics disagrees with the findings and Forbes’ methodology.
Intelligence in Hiring Demand had this to say: “What matters is: what’s the unemployment rate in Omaha now, compared to before the recession; what’s the unemployment rate in Wichita now, compared to before the recession; and how do those two differences compare to each other?”
According to IHD, Forbes used a faulty methodology and the rankings would put Boise at #14, not #78, in terms of cities that will recover fastest from the down economy.
Well, okay, then.
Here’s IHD’s list: Download IHD’s List of Fast-Recovering Cities and a link to their very detailed article.
